Signal Festival maps out 21 light installations for mid-October

The 14th edition, themed "Dream On!", adds a new route through Dejvice and celebrates ten years of its indoor strand.

The news

Signal Festival will light up Prague from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 October. The 14th edition, themed "Dream On! Dreams and Visions", brings 21 installations to 17 locations on two routes, one in the city centre and a new one in Dejvice.¹

The works are lit every evening from 19:00 until midnight. The outdoor routes are free to walk. This year's programme also includes a student zone, events for children and a strand inspired by Václav Havel.¹

Ten years inside

Signal INSIDE, the ticketed part of the festival, celebrates its tenth year with eight installations by Czech and international artists in unusual Prague interiors. Highlights announced by the organisers include a journey to the Moon, the return of Laterna Magika and a folklore robot. A one-day ticket costs CZK 340 and a four-day pass CZK 440.²

Signal is the most visited cultural event in Czechia. Regular visitors advise going on Thursday or Friday rather than Saturday, when the centre gets crowded, and using public transport rather than a car.³
