Banes Motor České Budějovice beat HC Kometa Brno 5-1 at home on Monday evening in a rescheduled game from the eighth round of the Tipsport Extraliga. The local Deník called it Motor's best performance of the season.12

Róbert Lantoši opened the scoring in the 13th minute with his first goal of the season, and Olesen added a power-play goal two seconds before the first break. Jakub Pour made it 3-0 early in the second period.12

Kometa's rookie defenceman Aaron Irving cut the lead with a power-play shot from the blue line in the 50th minute, but Parker Bell answered a minute later and Jan Štencel sealed the win with an empty-net goal. A crowd of 5,817 watched the game.1
