The news

Prague's Václav Havel Airport is adding several new direct routes this autumn. The first, and the longest, starts on Saturday: Vietjet Air will fly between Prague and Hanoi twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with a stop in Almaty.12

It is the first regular Prague–Hanoi connection in the country's modern history and Vietjet's first destination in Europe. According to the airport, more than 75,000 people travelled between the two cities last year, making Vietnam the biggest market Prague had no direct link to. The airline will use an Airbus A330-300 with 377 seats.2

What starts later this month

The winter schedule begins on Sunday, 25 October, the same night the clocks go back. Smartwings starts flying to Lisbon on 23 October. easyJet adds Marrakech from 25 October, Hamburg from 26 October and Lille from 28 October. SkyAlps will fly to Bolzano twice a week from 9 December.1

Two announced routes have slipped. Smartwings has postponed its flights to Venice to 4 March 2027 and to Bergen to 5 March 2027, citing the price of jet fuel. Brno and Pardubice airports are not getting any new regular routes this winter.1
